Days That Shook The World

"Days That Shook the World" chronicles the infamous bombing of Hiroshima that ended WW2. It documents what went into getting the plan into action, the planning of the mission, and the intricate details of that fateful day. Not only does this documentary focus on the fascinating factual aspects of the mission, but it does an excellent job of analyzing many of the real life people involved--from the crew of the Enola Gay, to President Truman, to three actual civilians living in Hiroshima at the time. The drama of this documentary is unsurpassed by any other I've seen on the History Channel thus far. From the use of sound effects (namely the ring of the warning device 60 seconds before drop), to the use of real (?) quotations from the survivors of Hiroshima and the Enola Gay, everything is well edited, interesting, and unbiased. This is a perfect archetype of a WW2 documentary.
