1· Make sure there is a current release available on the internet of the movie, game, audio, software, book or tv episode you are going to request.
To do this check IMDb for cinema release dates, then check VCDQ, NFOHump, Releaselog, and Dupecheck Project to see if what you want and the quality you want it at (e.g. DVD) exists on the Internet.
For TV episodes first make sure the episode has aired. TVmaze and TV.com and TVRage are good places to check this. To see if there is a recording of it (or a retail rip), check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuke_(warez) (scroll down to "List of public predb websites").
For books check Amazon or any online book store.
2· Use the search button on the top right corner of every page here to check if what you want has already been posted or requested. The quick search searches for all the words you enter into it and not just one word OR the other. The advanced search gives you more options. You can use the IMDb # to search for a movie, for instance "tt0499549". If you are requesting a reshare of something that is posted here, include a link to the STF topic.
3· If you want to request a reshare of what you want (you can't get sources with the one already posted for example) see point 1· and specify which group release you want.
4· Popular and long awaited movies are generally always posted here so requesting them is a waste of your time. If you think that requesting the latest Spider-Man or X-Men movies will speed up the process of them getting released on the Internet then you are sadly mistaken. Groups on the Internet compete against each other to get movies out as soon as possible, they don't keep them for themselves. If your friends have told you they have gotten hold of movies which aren't out yet then they are winding you up because you are so gullible. Chances are when you ask them to lend it to you they will come up with some lame excuse anyway which we've heard enough times here. Please don't insult us by posting such lies.
5· When posting your request please make it clear in the subject line what it is you are requesting. Something simple in square brackets is required (e.g. [Movie]) as it will stand out and be clear. Also include a link in your post which indicates what you want (e.g. IMDb or TVRage link). Once your request is filled a member of staff will add [Filled] in the subject line.
6· If you are filling a request, do not just search eMule and post a link as a reply. Instead, download the link, verify it, and post it in the appropriate forums - including any additional information required, such as screenshots, NFOs, technical details - and then just link to the post you have created. We no longer accept eD2k links in the requests forum. If you are requesting a reshare please just point to the topic the link is in.
7· You may bump up your request once a week only. Requests are automatically deleted 10 days after the last reply. If you have filled your own request then please post what you have found in the appropriate forum.
We try to keep this forum as tidy and efficient as possible. Requesting movies which aren't even out yet with the attitude "yeah but I've seen movies out before their cinema releases" really doesn't do you any favours here. Please make sure you are aware of the Forum Rules as well as they cover things such as no porn, therefore porn requests are forbidden.
Thanks for understanding.
