How to get a picture (avatar) under your username.

Post by EclipseGSX » Tue Sep 07, 2004 7:18 pm

In order to have an avatar (picture below your member name) you must fit into one of these categories:

Staff
Don't ask us, we'll ask you. We have less than 20 staff members, all of whom spend many hours a week looking after this site.

Donator
People who donated money (US $10 or more) to cover for the server costs.

Is that usually a good post to read when opening a topic?

Well, for one, you're a huge spammer right now. You have to post rubbish all over the site and you have nothing important to say. You also double post, you ask a question that's answered clearly in the first post of this thread, you think you're contributing when in fact you're spamming, you txt your posts instead of making complete sentences with proper punctuation and spelling... let's just say you're not exactly on the right track here.

I'm a teen too, 15 years old, and my spelling, punctuation and grammar are pretty good (Not perfect though).
Bad grammar is a very annoying thing.

That's punctuation and spelling. Grammar is the structure of the sentence, among other things.
Good grammar, punctuation and spelling makes your posts clearer and easier to read.

People don't realize how poorly they come off when tlkng in txt spk. Unless you're seriously surfing on a mobile phone without a qwerty keyboard, there is no excuse for using anything short of full sentences and proper punctuation. It's sad that native English speakers come off worse than people who speak English as a second or third language. I shudder to think how terribly you must write freehand.

exactly, it's not like he has to moderate the avatars, we do, so if we only give it to people who deserve them then it makes our lives easier

I cannot find a record of you having donated. Hence, you have no avatar privileges.
