Problems with the board? Trouble signing in? Report here!

Hi all,

the migration to phpBB3 is now complete. But since this was a big step to go, I expect that some people will have trouble signing in or using the forum software.

If you have any problems to report, do so here.

Thanks.

Update:
We have been getting complaints about ads redirecting to other sites.
Please post about problems with ads here: http://sharethefiles.com/forum/viewtopi ... &start=150

I had this posted in the ads section but I thought I'd ask here too. It's not a big deal and I'm sure you guys have other bigger problems to deal with but the banner says "Where your files @?" on the left and "Where's your files @?" in the center. I know it doesn't really matter but I thought I'd mention it so maybe deadbodyman can help since he seems to be fishing for a promotion atm! :P

I used to but real life (school) has taken priority. What can I say we all just want to be part of the elite! :P
And don't worry I'm not gunna fight and threaten to leave as others have over something so trivial! :P

Where's your files @? = Where is your files at? :?
Is that slang or what?
Yes, we know it's not correct English, but we wrote it like that on purpose. A long, long time ago, some new member posted that question on our forum, more or less asking how to use ed2k links. It was a running gag ever since and we used it as our slogan for while, and now we revived it.

@coffeecake, if you mean something like this, then no, we don't support aligning images.

Go here ----> http://sharethefiles.com/forum/viewtopi ... 70&t=32003 and all the TV series are listed in alphabetical order and just click the title.

There is order. The order is by "last post date". It's just not the order that you want.

Adding more sort orders is a low priority for me, so you will have to be a bit more patient.

Here's a little question I've sent various PM's over the past few days. Every time I finish, I hit "Send"- not "Save" and yet some of them go to the outbox and others I find later in sent messages. I receive no replies to the ones I've got in outbox (makes sense I guess)...

PMs in the Outbox are PMs that haven't yet been reported as new PMs to the receiver, usually because the receiver hasn't logged on since you sent the PM. PMs in the Sent Box have been reported to the receiver as new PMs.
Does that explain why you haven't received replies to PMs the receiver doesn't know you have sent? :P

hello to everyone
there is another problem with the site. all external/internal links open in the same window and you have to either right click, open in a new tab, or just loose the topic you were reading, and then go back again. it used to be better with the old site.
i think it is more practical that all links open in new tabs.
thnx :D

I think it's more practical to let the user decide, if the links should open in a new window or not by giving him/her a choice. Learn to use the "Ctrl" key when clicking on a link you want opened in a new window or tab.

Click a link using the mouse wheel (or middle-button) to open in a new tab. Easy and extremely handy.

Just to mention this.
I'm sure it's not a high priority on your list but.....

Seems the messages posted here/subscribed topics, PM's, anything that has to do with being notified by email seems to be getting worse and worse.
It used to take a couple seconds to receive the notification, then about 10min for the past few weeks and now it's over an hour and some don't even come at all.
I was looking at the view new posts option, checked all the new posts, replied to some topics and about an hour later, the message arrived telling me that there has been a post. :?
Thanks for your time everyone. :)

We are currently choking the mail function of the server for priority issues. This can cause some mail to be delayed or not delivered at all. It will improve in the next couple of days when we are done using the mail function.

For how long were you inactive before you logged in last week?

In any case, your account will mostly likely not be deleted since you already have some posts to your credit. We concentrate on deleting members that haven't logged in for at least 1 year and haven't bothered posting during all that time.

Trying to add more nfos to this post gives me the message that my message contains too few characters (and shows nothing in the text box) :?

Perhaps the post is getting too large with all the NFO and Code boxes. There is a 65000 character size limit in place for a single post.

Try splitting up the post into smaller ones.

One of your replies today triggered our automatic spam protection. Your post included a keyword that is often used by spammers. Nothing to worry about, nothing to fix.

The email notifications are working again, i worked my mojo on the server.

If you're not getting them please post your provider (yahoo, gmail, isp,...) cause i've noticed some providers block our IP address.

Haven't gotten any emails for my subscription in just about a week. I have been checking daily for releases. I was intent on leaving at the 1st of January but stayed because this place rocks. Have to get the emails to know whats out there to share. So is there something up with the email??? Thanks guys.

Tmax

Someone asked: I use Outlook 2007 and i own the server the email goes to, there have been no changes to either.

Update: Had to use gmail as my isp is blocking all emails from the stf address block, so are other isp's in the area. You may wanna check that but be careful the question you ask. I just asked if they were blocking any they said yes a few. I assume they are on that weird list for spam blockers.

Your provider is using the Cloudmark Sender Intelligence (CSI) list (essentially a block list) to filter emails for potential spam. Whenever we try to send you (or anyone that uses the same provider as you) an email, we get an error reply stating "Connection refused. <our IP> has a poor reputation on the Cloudmark Sender Intelligence (CSI) list.".

I am trying to get us delisted but this might prove a lengthy hassle-prone process. If you can, I suggest you sign up for another email service, such as Yahoo or Googlemail and change your email address here.

I never use it otherwise.
Since you use Outlook, just add Gmail to it.

Added reverse DNS to the IP in use by mail server, should make less mail servers reject it.

Yeah, the portal page looks really, errrr, stream-lined now. *cough* :P

So, you updated to Board3 Portal 2.0?

Hi all,

Just started having a problem with the site.

I am a Donator so I shouldn't have any pop-ups, however,

just recently no matter what I click on, on the site,
i get MULTIPLE pop-ups from GOODGAMESTUDIOS.COM.

Everytime I click on anything, i get 1-4 new tabs open up EVERYTIME.

I would appreciate some help with eliminating this.

I'm using FIREFOX for a browser if it makes any difference.

thank you
