When To Expect The DVDRip Of A Movie

Standard definition movies, from the year 2010 onwards, ripped from a retail source (DVDRip, BDRip), excluding R5 DVDRips. Be aware that documentaries, foreign, animated and black & white movies have their own sections.

When To Expect The DVDRip Of A Movie

Post by EzPimpinYa » Sat Dec 08, 2007 1:19 am

A big "Thank You" to mromariz who initiated & for the longest time updated this thread and to blueice156, and deadbodyman!

The following is a ROUGH guide on when DVDRips of some movies are expected here. If you want to do your own research you can see when a DVD is hitting the stores by visiting http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/dvd/ or http://videoeta.com/index.html for R1 (USA) releases which usually come before the European releases (R2). For European releases visit http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/releasedates.php or use http://akas.IMDb.com/ to find the foreign title of the movie and search on specific sites such as http://www.zonadvd.com/ for Spanish release dates or http://www.amazon.de/ for German ones.

Here are the store dates (in brackets) for movies released in the USA (R1). They usually hit the Internet a month to a couple of weeks before the stores. Keep an open mind as other movies may be released on DVDRip earlier than ones which have a sooner store date. These usually are R2 (european) releases of the movie and not the R1 ones. R2 is indicated next to a release date only if it is earlier than the R1 release.

*These are estimates and are not official. Dates are subject to change.
