How to run mIRC with SSL using the OpenSSL library

mIRC supports secure server connections with SSL using the OpenSSL library

Installation and Configuration (Tested on XP & Windows 7 x64)
Install 1st:
You may need to install the Visual C++ 2008 Redistributables x86 v9.0.21022. Because this version is needed by OpenSSL_Light:

Install 2nd: Win32OpenSSL_Light-1_0_0l.exe
http://slproweb.com/download/Win32OpenS ... 1_0_0l.exe

Installing OpenSSL in the mIRC folder, OpenSSL will be usable only by mIRC.
Installing OpenSSL in Windows System folder, OpenSSL will be usable by all applications.
Configuration needed to work with SSL in mIRC (Ports 6697 or 7000)

Whois in mIRC: Right click your name in mIRC, click on Whois, it will say you are using a secure connection.

Also when mIRC is starting up, you will see:
