Bootable Anti everything software

Post by bmartell_1967 » Sun Nov 08, 2015 9:17 pm

What is the best program(s) that are boot-able, to scan my whole computer for virus's, malware, Trojans and the like? System is slow in booting/restarts and the full version of AVG Internet Security 2015 version 2015.0.6173 shows nothing on the system. I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 10, the first release.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you did already:
Run a registry cleaner/ registry defrag.
I would also just for fun: free disk space on C:, clean junk files such as .tmp etc., run Disk defrag

Don't know which one is the best:

As Will-I-Am say, I would start with cleaning the computer from junk files and maybe also clean the registry. Ccleaner is quite good (and free) tool for this: ... _slim.html

If you want to check your computer and remove malware, follow this excellent guide: Its quite thorough and comprehensive, but don't rush trough it, take your time and do it properly and you will have a clean PC at the end :-)
