1. No swearing! Bypassing the censor by replacing a letter, within a swear word, with a different character such as a * is not permitted.
2. No religion!
3. No porn! This includes displaying, linking, posting or even requesting porn!
4. No FTP servers or direct links to copyrighted material! This is strictly forbidden! This includes using online file hosting such as RapidShare or Megaupload.
5. No direct links to cracks, serials, or keygens! Serials/license key information should NOT be posted on STF and removed from all NFO files before posting the text. Providing information on how to write a crack file, hacking software security, or bypassing copy protection is also not allowed! Posting ed2k links to cracks and already cracked software or a game is acceptable. Providing clarification on how to apply a crack for a software/game release is acceptable, as these instructions are typically provided in the NFO of the release.
6. No passing tutorials off as your own! If you want to use our tutorials on another website then please mention their creator!
7. We take the security of our forum and members very seriously, anything done that could potentially harm or destroy the forums, members or guests that frequent our site with be dealt with severely.
8. Flagrant disregard towards something an Administrator or Moderator has asked you to do will result in further action.

9. Make sure you post in the correct forum, read the forum descriptions and post accordingly
10. Do not post direct torrent links and do not make any torrent requests (this includes re-seed requests!). The sites that host the trackers ask their users not to link directly to the torrent files as the torrent files might be moved around on the server and the link would therefore no longer be valid. The torrent files they host might also change, if they decide to have a different tracker manage a download.
11. No trolling, flaming or rumour whoring allowed! Saying things like "I heard that the 24th Matrix film is out on the Internet" when it is not, is considered rumour whoring! Trolling is when you bait members to flame, by posting something controversial or touchy.
12. If you are rude to a member of staff in public or in a private message then it is an instant ban. Our staff members use up their free time without getting paid to help people here. If you must question what a staff member posted, or did, then do it politely or in a private message to them. If you are not happy with their response then contact one of our staff Administrators (Wout000, Stoepsel, or EclipseGSX). Also don't bother complaining about any of our Senior Staff. They have been around long enough to teach you a thing or two.
13. Before posting your question please use the Search function as your question has probably been asked and answered many times before!
14. Your avatar must not be larger than 130x130px in size (130 pixels in width and height). The file size for your avatar must not exceed 100kb in size. This is a very generous file size that we allow! Anything bigger and our dial-up users will be unable to surf the forums without having to wait for your avatar to load up! Avatars are a contributor-only feature.
15. Do not post fake files! The whole community will eventually know you have posted them and your credibility will take an instant nose-dive.
16. You may not post or promote, in any way, any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist or otherwise objectionable content or links to sites that contain such material.
17. If you wish to copy a link over to another site feel free to do so, we especially encourage this for files which have low sources. If a file was created (not just originally spread) by the person who posted it then make sure you ask them for their permission first as they may not want their own rips posted on certain sites. This is a eD2k sharing community to get files spread, if you are more concerned about getting the praise for originally spreading a file, that you didn't create in the first place, then you need to do us all a favour and move away from eD2k, BitTorrent is more for you.
18. Do not spam! Spamming is characterized by threads or replies that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off-topic or on-topic. Posting few words that mostly have no relation to the current thread or even posting that your post is spam is not acceptable. Generally anything which is specifically aimed for increasing your post count will be dealt with. Also do not replicate your post in different forums! Only post it once in the most appropriate forum! Posting the same thread in different forums is very annoying.
